Achilles and Ankle Support for Pickleball
For tired or achy Achilles and ankles, start with a compression sock that has a reinforced heel and ankle zone. It gives a snug, supported feel through quick starts, stops and pivots. Add an ankle sleeve if you want compression right at the joint. A recent sprain or Achilles pain needs a physio first.

Sizing
Socks and sleeves go by shoe size. Achilles and Ankle socks: women's M fits US 5 to 7 and L fits 8 to 11; men's M fits US 4 to 6 and L fits US 7 and up. PowerStep socks are one size: men's US 5 to 11, women's 7 to 13. FlexGuard sleeves go by men's shoe size, from S (5 to 6) to XL (11 to 12).
What these won't do
Socks and sleeves don't stop an ankle from rolling the way a lace-up or strapped brace does. They add compression and a supported feel; they don't treat Achilles tendinopathy.
When to get help
A sudden pop or a feeling of being kicked at the back of the heel needs urgent care the same day. See a physio for heel pain that lasts more than two weeks, or for an ankle you can't put weight on after rolling it.
Questions
Compression socks aren't a treatment for Achilles tendonitis. Some players find them comfortable while they manage it, but the plan should come from a physio. Get assessed first, then ask whether compression fits your plan.
